The SPA-941 is the Linksys update the the Sipura SPA-841. The phone and handset have a quality feel to them and you can see the Cisco influence.

The SPA 941 phone is the next step up from the SPA 921 phone. It looks exactly the same as the 921 - except it has four additional line buttons down the right hand side of the display.
The 921 is a single line phone. The 941 is a 2 line or (with an extra-cost software upgrade) a 4 line phone.

This phone has now gone End of Life and is no longer available from New Zealand suppliers. The SPA942 now ships in two varieties, one without a power adapter and one with.

Distinctive ring

Asterisk can set the ringtone of the phone on the fly by using the ALERT_INFO variable like so;

exten => 810,1,SET(_ALERT_INFO=Classic-1)
exten => 810,n,Dial(SIP/810)

The following ring tones are available;

Simple-1

Simple-4
Simple-5
Office

There should also be a way to call custom uploaded ring tones via _ALERT_INFO(If you know how please post :) )
